“The first choice of the knowledgeable Port drinker”
Taylors have been producing port wine since 1692, so it’s fair to say that they know what they’re doing! LBV stands for ‘Late Bottled Vintage’ and is the most popular style of port in England.
Traditionally port was aged in oak barrels for twenty months before being bottled for further ageing. LBV port is aged in oak barrels for up to six years before being decanted into bottles. This means that the port is mature and ready to drink from the bottle without any additional ageing being required. LBV port can be poured directly from the bottle without the need for settling and once opened can be enjoyed over several weeks.
This particular fortified red wine has a rich, fruity character that is perfect for pairing with cheese and desserts.. or on its own as a nightcap!
